Bollards made to the highest standards and with the utmost reliability are made from materials like cast iron and SG iron. The bollards’ shape has been improved over time to be reliable and devoid of load concentration.
The expert Hitech design team optimizes the bollard’s shape and fasteners using FEA analysis to validate the performance of the bollards. To ensure that the customer receives a top-notch product that will last a lifetime, Hitech also offers full-scale load testing on any project.

TYPES OF MOORING BOLLARDS

TEE BOLLARD

Due to its compact design, this bollard’s durability and resilience are among its key characteristics. Additionally, it offers a wide range of vertical and horizontal anchoring angles. T-type bollards can take mooring lines up to 300 tons.

It is simple to install and ideal for any kind of berthing application.

KIDNEY BOLLARD

THE KIDNEY type model stands out for its versatility, thanks to how its design makes it suitable for use in multi-purpose terminals and for mooring from fishing vessels or pontoons to ferries or roll-on-roll offs.
The working angles that can be moored are -15 C to 60 C and can be used for 180 degrees.

CLEAT BOLLARD

Cleat Bollards are ideal for marine mooring applications such as mounting on boats, light commercial use, or recreational marina use. Hitech cleat bollards are made to resist use in harsh environments as a result they are made of durable ductile cast iron or cast steel.

  • Suitable for steep rope angles
  • Suitable for small wharves or jetties and marinas

DOUBLE BITT BOLLARD

Double Bitt Bollards or Twin Horn Bollards shave been designed with a narrow base footprint to fit into spaces on wharves that have limited work and are capable of accepting multiple mooring lines due to their twin horn profile. These bollards are durable and can withstand harsh environments.

SINGLE BITT BOLLARD

Single Bitt Bollards are suitable for applications where tidal range variations are large, specially harsh environments and can handle steep mooring line angles. Hi-Tech’s Single Bitt Bollards are capable of accepting multiple mooring lines and have been designed to fit onto exciting bolt patterns for older-style pillar bollards.

PILLAR BOLLARD

Pillar bollards are ideal for situations with smaller tidal ranges and applications where the mooring layout has to be repositioned. Due to their 360-degree line load range, Hi-Tech’s Pillar Bollards can also be installed on jetties where vessels berth on both sides of the jetty structure.

HORN TYPE BOLLARD

Horn Bollards, also known as Staghorn Bollards, are especially well suited for situations where there are large tidal range variations due to the fact that they can withstand steep mooring line angles. The intricate design of their profile allows them to accept multiple mooring lines. Horn Bollards are designed to withstand in harsh environments since they are made of durable ductile cast iron or cast steel.
